One Day Course at Rick Stein's Cookery School



World renowned and award winning chef Rick Stein owns a stunning cookery school in Padstow, Cornwall and you are invited to join his high quality chefs for a one-day cookery course. You’ll be situated in a breath-taking location with views of the harbour and the estuary – a perfect place to learn how to cook some spectacular dishes.

With a range of themes to choose from, including classes without fish or seafood, you’ll be spoilt for choice as to which lesson to take. Whichever class you pick, it’s sure to be an unforgettable way to elevate your culinary skills to new heights!

We have a wide range of courses running throughout the year:

All the dishes featured are from Rick’s travels around the world including courses from Secret France, Indian Seafood, Far Eastern, Mexican and of course fish and shellfish to name a few. But it’s not just about seafood, we do lots of other interesting day courses, one dish workshops, tasting evenings, children’s cookery and a rather fun ‘Cook your own dinner party’ evening. We also offer private courses events and dinner parties for special celebrations.

Course Overview:

Arrive – 8:45am
Welcome – Enjoy a tea or coffee while browsing the recipes for the day and meeting your fellow chefs
From 9am – Watch our chefs demo three dishes then recreate each dish in pairs at your workstation enjoying the fruits of your labour
Lunch – At our long ‘en famille’ dining table overlooking the Camel Estuary with a glass of wine or two
Afternoon demo – Time to relax with a glass of wine and watch our chef demonstrate the final dish of the day
4pm – Finish. You will be presented with a Rick Stein’s Cookery School certificate and recipe folder plus a chance to browse our shop with an exclusive voucher.

Opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. Head Chef Pete Murt and our team of chefs create simple seafood dishes with classic flavours using Rick’s recipes. We have a seafood bar right in the middle of the restaurant where you take a seat to enjoy the atmosphere of the whole restaurant. No reservations are required for the bar and you can order anything from the menu. Using quality and local produce will always be close to our hearts and we’re proud to work with suppliers that are a passionate as we are.
